Jade City RP Server Rules

18+ Requirement

Jade City RP is an 18+ community in alignment with the mature content rating of GTA V. This age restriction also applies to your character.

No Bullying or Harassment

To ensure a safe and respectful environment for everyone, Jade City RP enforces a strict Zero Tolerance Policy against bullying and harassment, both within and outside the server. Any involvement in such behavior, including any form of toxic conduct, will result in disciplinary action, often leading to a ban.

Prohibition of Abuse, Discrimination, and Derogatory Language

Abuse or discrimination based on any protected characteristic, including in-game and out-of-game language, is strictly forbidden. "Protected characteristic" refers to aspects such as age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion, sex, and sexual orientation.

Recording Gameplay

We strongly advise all players to be running recording software whilst you are playing in Jade City RP, as without video evidence of things such as rule breaks and environment issues such as a civilian job not performing as it should, we will not be able to help you to the best of our abilities.  Recommended recording software : OBS / StreamLabs OBS

Microphone Use

A high-quality, working microphone is essential for interacting with others in character. This ensures clear communication and a better experience for all players. Your microphone must be set to push-to-talk at all times.

Voice Changers

Approval from a staff member is required before using a voice changer, please get in contact through our ticket system in Discord.

Handling Complaints

Official complaints should only be submitted in cases of actual rule violations, if it is an in-game issue please use the /report function to make this report, if it is out of game, please use our ticket system in Discord. Personal disputes should be resolved separately. Additionally, all complaints must be completely truthful and video evidence ( will be required in the cases of rules violations - if someone is breaking the rules and you want to report it please make sure that you hit your PGU (Page Up) key to obtain their player ID & Name during the interaction and that you make sure it can be clearly seen in the recording.

Reporting incidents

When making reports you have two options available:

Reporting in game : if you want to immediately make a report because you are stuck somewhere, fallen through the world, or want to immediately report a player for a rules violation (these are just examples) then you can use the /report command.  It will take you to an in-game report system where you can put in your report, attach a Youtube video (this is required for rules violations) or an image (if it's a world issue an image is all that is needed if you don’t want to submit a video).  If there is an Admin on duty, they will be made aware that you have made a report, they will review it, and then they will be able to chat to you through the in-game report system and hopefully resolve the issue for you.

Reporting out of game: if you would like to make a report of in game issues after you have finished playing then please make a ticket in our Discord.  The same rules apply as in game reporting, so videos for rules violations are mandatory.  An admin will review your ticket in a timely manner and respond appropriately.

Respect Towards Staff

Whilst constructive criticism of Jade City RP staff is welcome, any form of toxic behavior towards them is not tolerated. If you receive disciplinary action, such as a ban, we ask that you handle it calmly and fairly. If you believe you've been treated unjustly, please file an appeal through our ticket system in Discord.

No Threats Allowed

Threatening behavior, including threats to DDoS or exposing personal information, is strictly prohibited and will be dealt with severely and it will likely result in a permanent ban.

Guidelines for Streamers

• Copyrighted Music: Avoid playing copyrighted music to protect streamers on the server.

• Stream Sniping: Watching a streamer’s live feed to gain an unfair advantage, such as tracking their location, is forbidden. While playing, do not watch any streamers who are also on the server.

• Content Preferences: Be mindful of streamers' content preferences, as they may need to adhere to platform or audience guidelines.

• Targeting: Do not harass or give special treatment to streamers just because they are live.

• Illegal locations / How to perform illegal activities:  When conducting illegal activities within Jade City RP, such as going to a hidden illegal location or working out the specifics of an illegal heist as examples, we ask that streamers “black out their screen” so as to keep these activites / locations a secret and not give others the chance to use this knowledge gained outside of RP in city.

Impersonation of Staff

Pretending to be a staff member or claiming to be one is strictly prohibited.

No Real-World Trading

Exchanging in-game assets, like money or vehicles, for real-world benefits, including financial gain, is strictly prohibited. Similarly, trading anything in real life for in-game items is not allowed.

Roleplay Guidelines

Jade City RP is a roleplay-focused server, and these rules are designed to maintain the integrity of the roleplay. Treat your in-game character as a real person and act accordingly in all situations. The following rules will help you navigate this effectively.

Clothing / Body Models

We have a vast variety of clothing in our stores to enable self expression and personal choices for our characters.  As part of this there are a number of nude base bodies that are to be used to enable you to wear certain items of clothing that would otherwise not be possible with the standard GTA ped, it is forbidden to use these nude models in any other way, you may not leave the clothing selector without ensuring that all parts of the body that are widely considered ‘private’ are adequately covered with any of the outfits that are available.  This is non-negotiable and will result in disciplinary action.

Consent for Explicit Actions / Erotic RP

All explicit actions / erotic RP must have the consent of all involved parties, including any bystanders.  Erotic RP is defined as, but not limited to, flirting, kissing, sexual acts and public nudity, please be mindful of where and when you choose to take part in these activities and be considerate and respectful to the rest of the players on the server, and all sexual RP must be conducted in private.  All parties must give full consent before any of these take place, and consent, once given, may also be withdrawn at any point, by any person involved, and for any reason whatsoever, if this happens then the scene must end immediately without question.

If all parties involved are not fully consenting, and one or more people continue to pressurize / be sexually inappropriate and do not stop the behavior immediately then this will be deemed as sexual harassment, it will be taken extremely seriously and it will lead to you being banned, without question.

Fail Roleplay

Failing to stay fully immersed in your character is prohibited, and although we want our server to be as close to real life as possible we also encourage the fact that it is still a world where you can be a bit crazier, take more risks, and be someone that you wouldn’t / couldn’t be in real life.  So we want to try and balance these two things as best as we can.  We expect you to respond to injuries as you would in real life. Use the /me command to describe your injuries to EMTs and other players. It’s unrealistic to get up immediately after being shot, even after treatment. Recovery from injuries should last at least 30 minutes, depending on severity, during which time you cannot initiate retaliation if you have gained these injuries from a violent interaction with another person / group.

Examples of Recovery:

• A shoulder graze may require 30 minutes of recovery.

• A severe chest wound on the other hand may require 2 hours of recovery

• These are just a guideline not an exact measure, ultimately you as the player get to choose the injuries that you have received, and so therefore if you choose to have a severe chest wound from a gunshot where you have had to be resuscitated because your pulse couldn’t be found, then we would expect you to place an appropriate recovery period from that on yourself.

Recollection / Memory Loss:

• After a head injury, you may choose to roleplay memory loss, gradually regaining your memory as you recover, or never remembering at all.

• Or you may just decide that it was a little bump to the head and you can remember all the details

• We will not be taking the RP out of your hands with injuries, it’s your character and your decision which way you want to take your RP with these scenarios.

Failing to respond to other players’ /me commands is also strictly prohibited, please make sure that you are paying attention to them, especially during medical RP.

Deathmatching / VDM

Deathmatching, or harming another player without a valid reason, is strictly prohibited. This includes using a weapon or vehicle to kill or injure others without justification. Instigating violence without cause is also not allowed.  Please make sure you always have valid RP reasons before engaging in violence of any kind, otherwise you’re just playing GTA online.

Valuing Your Life

In Jade City RP, your character’s life should be valued. Engaging in highly reckless behavior that could result in severe injury or death is prohibited unless it’s part of a roleplay scenario.

Powergaming

Powergaming, or exploiting game mechanics to gain an unfair advantage, is strictly prohibited. Examples include using first-person mode for extra speed, using your radio when handcuffed or binding certain emotes like /sleep to avoid being shot during a gun battle, these are just some examples. Additionally, giving your character unrealistic abilities, like claiming they are bulletproof, is not allowed.

Metagaming

Metagaming, or using out-of-character knowledge to influence your in-game actions, is strictly prohibited. To prevent this, no communication is allowed in Discord or other channels while any members of that chat are on the server. Additionally, you are not allowed to watch streamers if both parties are on the server.

Combat Logging

Combat logging is where you disconnect from the server immediately after or during a hostile interaction and it is strictly prohibited.  You are expected to remain in character, in server and actively participating in all roleplay interactions until the scene is fully complete.

Griefing

Griefing is where you choose to intentionally harass or provoke another player for the sole purpose of ruining their roleplay experience, without any valid RP reason for it.  If you’re asked to go away / leave someone alone because you are doing this and you don’t,  then you get reported for it then you will be receiving disciplinary action and potentially facing a ban.

Permanent Character Death

Deciding to permanently kill your character is a significant decision that should not be taken lightly. Once a character is permanently killed, bringing them back is strictly prohibited, you must delete that character from your character selector as they will be unable to return to Jade City RP.

Group Size Limits

Groups involved in an organized criminal heist, such as a store robbery for example, are limited to a maximum of 6 members. The police may have up to 9 members, unless the situation becomes particularly prolonged or violent, should this become the case, then the police will be able to add additional members within reason.  These numbers are in place to ensure that it is fair on both the criminals and the police in these organized activities.

For other criminal activities, such as gang wars or weed growing for example, there are no limits to numbers.

Exploitation of game mechanics

If you are found to be exploiting glitches / bugs that you find within Jade City RP then you will be facing disciplinary action, an example of this would be glitching through a wall to gain access to somewhere.

Brake boosting - this is not permitted.

Just don’t do it, it’s not big and it’s not clever.

Prohibited Roleplays

Certain roleplay scenarios are strictly forbidden, including:

• Suicide or self-harm

• Supernatural, such as vampires, aliens or superheroes

• Real-life personalities or influential figures

• Pregnancy or child characters

• Rape / sexual abuse roleplay
